Dan’s exceptional background led him to become one of the founding members of Business Aviation Collaborative of Ohio (BACO) where he had the responsibility of bridging public and private business partners with academia, with the help of the Ohio Board of Regents, to develop a business aviation course to be implemented in most of the state’s colleges and universities.  He actively promotes business/corporate aviation to universities and colleges throughout Ohio.  Dan is currently an industry advisor to Ohio Regional Business Aviation Association (ORBAA), has served on numerous collegiate aviation advisory boards/panels, a collegiate aviation program and project mentor, and mentors the Aviation Maintenance and Operations Internship Programs for Nationwide flight operations.  As an active member of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), Dan also advised their Business Aviation Management Committee (BAMC), which provides guidance to business aviation personnel and department managers in the NBAA internship and mentoring membership programs and opportunities.  Along with other committee members, he helped develop a guide on Business Aviation and Collegiate internship programs and actively presents at conferences on such issues.

One of Dan’s many passions is providing developmental opportunities for students in the aviation field.  Dan actively mentors aspiring aviation students by sharing knowledge, providing real time experience, and introducing them to important business aspects of Aviation.  Since he was a child, Dan’s dream was to become a pilot and he has worked with hundreds of students throughout his career to share his passions and help define the next generation of pilots in the aviation field.

Dan has accumulated over 14,800 flight hours flying both international and domestic.  Dan was a Living Legends of Aviation recipient in 2016.  Wolfe lives a very full life in Pataskala, Ohio with his wonderful wife, Carla, and family.
